Because I’m too verbose…
I can’t fit my ‘professional’ ramblings on LinkedIn (because of the 3000 character limit on posts), so I’ll post them directly here as they occur. These may be disparate and sporadic, but I promise they’ll never be brief.

All predictions of the future are extrapolations of the present…
Everything I write about concerns how our present affects our future. It is a mistake to think that anyone can predict a distant future and extrapolate back from that (hello TESCREAL boosters!). Whilst we should think about the futures we would like to see, there is so much of the present that needs changing that these futures should be no more than idealogical way-markers. And we should not fool ourselves into thinking any utopia can be conceived outside of a present context.
Start-up/ upstart
I have built, run and sold platforms…
…in my spare time. These included interactive band websites, and online novel that could be edited in realtime and a music licensing management platform that I ultimately sold to BT Sport.
STEM/
non-STEM
My background is both arts/ humanities and science/tech
I believe that it is more important than ever that we understand technology in the context of society and political economy.
Writing
Novels, screenplays, short stories…
…are all things I have written. If you would like to read any of them, please get in touch.
Music
I made music once…
…or twice. Music that I made with friends is still available on all major streaming services. There are soundtracks and commissions somewhere as well.
